Tonight my heart breaks. My heart breaks for the orphaned and unloved. I want my arms to expand and wrap them into a loving embrace like our Father does, but I know HE is taking care of that. My heart hurts for the ones that will never know the love of a mom or dad or a family. I thank you Lord for the ones that have experienced that kind of love, but I pray for those who don't. My heart and passion is for these precious children of God. I can't imagine not having my family and I pray God uses me to love any and every child possible. My arms are open to you God and I pray you use me for your work. I pray anytime, anywhere, everywhere, whenever, wherever Lord! Use me! I am your vessel and I am willing, nervous but willing.
There is no reason why these children shouldn't have homes already. We as followers of Jesus Christ have fallen short of our job here on earth. God has called ALL , A-L-L! of us to take care of the orphans and the widows. That means EVERYONE!!!!! NO IFS, ANDS, or BUTS. Now don't get me wrong I understand not all are called to adopt but taking care of doesn't always mean adopt it means exactly what it says, take care of! SUPPORT, PRAY FOR, LOVE ON, SEND MONEY, ADOPT, whatever the Lord places on your heart. Be obedient!
Here is a quote I read today:
We are not all called to adopt these children into our families, but we are all called to look at them, even if it makes our eyes burn and be willing to let their needs disrupt our lives!

So I have a friend.......
I have recently been blessed to meet a wonderful lady, lets call her B. She is the lady who introduced me to Heart for Africa and who has helped me walk through this new journey(my mission trip). I have seen how God has intertwined our lives. I continue to marvel at how cool God is and how He has everything taken care of. So anyways I have a prayer request. My friend B and her family have recently entered into the adoption world. God has guided them to a cute little boy across the big lake. There is a "hiccup" though. I totally believe God is taking care of him and taken care of this issue but we need to come in agreement that God will take care of him and B's family. He is all powerful and can totally take care of this but I ask for your prayers. I ask that you will pray for wisdom to all involved and discernment. I know I didn't give alot of info but it's not cause I don't want to, it's because I can't. Even so please pray. Thank you for you support in what I am doing and thank you for praying for B!

Answered Questions!
So I have gotten alot of questions lately about my mission trip. For those of you that don't know I am going to Swaziland, Africa this summer. I am going with an incredible organization who has a true passion for these people. The name of this project is called "Project Canaan". It's a 2500 acre farm that the Lord has blessed Heart for Africa with. This farm will be a self-sustaining farm that will include homes for orphaned and abandoned children, crops, livestock, and much more. The Lord continues to bless His people and I am so thrilled to be able to be a small part of it. Please join me in prayer as God continues to lead me where He wants me, and pray for these people I am going to serve.

I am a Disciple
This morning at church my pastor (Andy Stanley) gave a sermon on the label "Christian". From the time I went in to the time I left my whole view point changed. He talked about how the "Jesus followers" referred to themselves as Disciples not Christians. The pagans were the ones to come up with the label Christian. It was a derogatory word. Now don't get me wrong Christian is a very powerful word, but everyone's definition is different. The word Christian is only referred to 3 times in the new testament, but the word disciple is said countless times. Jesus called his people disciples. How powerful is that!!!! The world's view of Christian is a person who claims to be a follower of Christ, but to be referred to as a disciple is an honor. Below is the link to the sermon:

A Little Bit about Me
Hey everyone. Welcome to my blog. I will give you a little background about me. I am the oldest of 5 children. I have 2 bio sisters and 2 adopted sibs. The two adopted rock something a little extra special- they have Down Syndrome. The Lord really changed my heart when we adopted them. He has given me a passion for orphans, adoption, and special needs. The Lord has called me to Africa this summer....ekkkk! I am terrified of planes so when God placed this on my heart we had a little heart to heart chat. The plane ride is 18hrs so I had to do some soul searching and muster some guts to go. I am thrilled and O so scared, but I know he has mighty plans. That is a quick blurb about me and I can't wait to write more.
